USDC, CCTP V2, Circle Wallets, and Circle Contracts are coming soon to Monad: What You Need to Know

We’re excited to announce that USDC, CCTP V2, Circle Wallets, and Circle Contracts are coming soon to Monad!

Monad is a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain designed to deliver high throughput with full EVM compatibility. It combines the speed, scalability, and low fees of next-generation blockchains with Ethereum-grade security, enabling developers to build capital-efficient applications for DeFi, trading, and payments.

With the upcoming launch of USDC1, CCTP V2, Wallets2, and Contracts2, Monad will gain access to the world’s largest regulated1 stablecoin and core Circle Developer Services products. Together, these products enable seamless crosschain transfers, embedded payments, and enterprise-grade wallet infrastructure - providing institutions and developers with the foundational building blocks for a robust onchain ecosystem.

Benefits of USDC on Monad:

  • Offers a regulated1, fully reserved stablecoin redeemable 1:1 for US dollars3
  • Enables institutional on/offramps like Circle Mint4 for eligible users
  • Integrates easily into existing Monad apps

With CCTP V2, developers will be able to:

  • Enable users to move USDC securely between Monad and supported blockchains with 1:1 capital efficiency
  • Build apps with seamless crosschain onboarding, swaps, purchases, treasury rebalancing, and more

Wallets and Contracts deliver:

  • Backend and embedded wallets that enable customized, seamless user experiences across multiple blockchains — all built from the same codebase
  • Gas sponsorship through Gas Station, enabling developers to cover gas fees on behalf of their users
  • A curated library of security-audited smart contract templates for tokenization, loyalty points, and a range of popular use cases
  • An intuitive dashboard and set of APIs that simplify creating, deploying and managing smart contracts

Key Use Cases

USDC and Circle’s Developer Services serve as a foundation for developers and businesses building on Monad, including:

  • DeFi and Trading Apps: Use USDC as collateral and for settlement across swaps, liquidity pools, and broader DeFi activity
  • Payments and Fintech: Enable real-time, cost-efficient payments and settlement by embedding USDC into wallets, marketplaces, and financial platforms
  • Wallets and Bridges: Build secure, faster crosschain onboarding and transfer experiences with CCTP V2
  • Institutional Liquidity Providers: Provide liquidity, enable capital-efficient trading, and rebalance funds across markets
