Now Available: USDC, CCTP, Wallets, and Contracts on Monad

We’re excited to announce that USDC, CCTP, Circle Wallets, and Circle Contracts are now available for Monad – enabling secure, always-on settlement for high-performance DeFi, seamless crosschain interoperability, and enterprise-ready developer services.

Monad is a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain designed to deliver high throughput with full EVM compatibility. It combines the speed, scalability, and low fees of next-generation blockchains with Ethereum-grade security, enabling developers to build capital-efficient applications for DeFi, trading, and payments.

USDC, CCTP, Wallets, and Contracts: Core Products for Developers

This launch goes beyond USDC, it’s about equipping developers on Monad with a robust platform to build next-generation onchain apps:

1. USDC issued by Circle:

USDC is a regulated¹, fully reserved stablecoin redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars². It enables institutional on/off-ramps like Circle Mint³ for eligible users and integrates seamlessly into existing Monad apps, powering always-on liquidity across DeFi, trading, and payments.

Developers can start to experiment with funds flows in their Monad apps today by getting free testnet USDC from the Circle Faucet.

2. CCTP

CCTP enables developers to design crosschain experiences by connecting Monad apps to 17 additional blockchains. With no need to lock up liquidity, CCTP provides a highly secure and capital-efficient way to transact with USDC across supported blockchains.

3. Wallets

Wallets offer developers flexible and secure infrastructure, allowing easy creation of in-app wallets on Monad that cater to global users and streamline DeFi onboarding. With customizable key management, integrated compliance tools, and Gas Station to sponsor network fees, businesses can easily onboard users while delivering a secure and familiar UX.

4. Contracts

Contracts offer developers a simpler way to create, deploy, and manage smart contracts. With end-to-end tooling and a curated library of security-audited templates, businesses can accelerate building for tokenization, loyalty programs, and transformative onchain use cases.

Powering new use cases

Together, USDC, CCTP, Wallets, and Contracts serve as a foundation for developers and businesses building on Monad, including:

  • DeFi and Trading Apps: Use USDC as collateral in lending and as a settlement asset for swaps and other DeFi transactions.
  • Payments and Fintech Apps: Enable real-time, cost-efficient payments and settlement by embedding USDC into neobanks, marketplaces, and financial services platforms.
  • Wallets and Bridges: Build more secure, faster crosschain onboarding and value transfer experiences with CCTP.
  • Market Makers: Provide USDC liquidity, support efficient price discovery, and optimize capital deployment across venues.

Day 1 apps: Accountable, Across, Bungee Exchange, Coinbase, Crystal, Curve, Kuru, Levr, Mayan, Monad Bridge, Monday Trade, Portal, Wormhole
