Native USDC and CCTP V2 are coming to Plume. Learn what this means for the ecosystem.

We’re excited to announce that native USDC and CCTP V2 are coming soon to Plume!
Plume is a RWA blockchain designed for real-world asset finance (RWAfi) and DeFi. It features fast finality, is fully EVM compatible, and is designed to help institutions and developers bring financial assets onchain.
Since Plume’s Genesis mainnet launch on June 5, 2025, Plume’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has grown more than ~441%, from $44M to $238M (as of Sep 4, 2025)1. The ecosystem has 200+ apps and protocols building on Plume.2
With the upcoming launch of native USDC and CCTP V2 on Plume, the network will gain access to the world’s largest regulated3 stablecoin and seamless crosschain transfers across supported blockchains. This unlocks new use cases across RWAfi, DeFi, social, and more.
Benefits of native USDC on Plume:
- Offers a regulated3, fully reserved digital dollar redeemable 1:1 for US dollars4
- Enables institutional on/offramps like Circle Mint5 for eligible users
- Integrates easily into existing Plume apps
With CCTP V2, developers will be able to:
- Enable users to move native USDC securely between Plume and supported blockchains with 1:1 capital efficiency
- Build apps with seamless crosschain onboarding, swaps, purchases, treasury rebalancing, and more
Key Use Cases
Native USDC serves as a foundational building block for a range of use cases across the Plume ecosystem, including:
- RWA tokenization: Use USDC to collateralize and settle real-world assets with a fully reserved, regulated stablecoin designed for institutional-grade flows
- DeFi financial apps: Integrate USDC to enable AMMs and other financial primitives for fast settlement and seamless crosschain transfers
Bridged vs. Native USDC
Currently, Bridged USDC (USDC.e via Stargate from Ethereum) exists on Plume. Plume will work with ecosystem apps to smoothly migrate from bridged to native USDC over time.
There will be no immediate changes to the Stargate bridge and it will continue to operate normally. Bridged USDC will remain labeled as “USDC.e” in block explorers and across app UIs and documentation.
