Circle congratulates our President, Heath Tarbert, on being named a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA).

Circle congratulates our President, Heath Tarbert, on being named a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA), one of the highest honors granted by Scouting America to Eagle Scouts who have achieved “extraordinary national-level recognition, fame, or eminence” in their careers or in service to the United States.
Since its inception in 1969, only about 2,200 individuals have received the DESA, including well-known figures such as President Gerald Ford, astronaut Neil Armstrong, entrepreneur Sam Walton, and filmmaker Steven Spielberg. The award recognizes lifelong commitment to the principles of integrity, service, and leadership. These values are deeply aligned with Circle’s mission to build a more open, responsible, and inclusive global financial system.
Indeed, Circle is proud to count nearly a dozen Eagle Scouts in its ranks across business development, compliance, engineering, human resources, legal, and security. They are joined by others who have achieved the highest rank in the Girl Scouts of America and in similar scouting programs in other countries.
Heath shared that this honor represents more than personal recognition: “The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award reminds us that true leadership begins with service to our communities, to our colleagues, and to the greater good. I’m honored to be named a DESA recipient and proud to be part of a company where those principles guide everything we do.”
Together, we celebrate leadership built on trust, humility, and service, the same values that continue to shape Circle’s journey forward.
