Now Available: USDC and CCTP on Pharos

what you’ll learn

USDC and CCTP are now live on Pharos, enabling trusted dollar-denominated collateral, efficient settlement, and seamless crosschain USDC transfers for DeFi applications.

Now Available: USDC and CCTP on Pharos

USDC and Circle CCTP are now live on Pharos, bringing crosschain support and trusted digital dollar liquidity to the nascent Pharos ecosystem. This fast-finality Layer-1 (L1) blockchain features high throughput and is designed to support compliant financial applications at scale. The network is expected to expand access to tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) while supporting DeFi trading and lending, instant stablecoin payments, and more.

With USDC and CCTP on Pharos now available, users can access the world’s largest regulated¹ stablecoin alongside secure crosschain transfers. Combined, these two integrations are designed to support compliant and institutional-grade DeFi trading, lending, payments, and tokenized RWA access across the Pharos ecosystem.

Benefits of USDC and CCTP on Pharos

USDC on Pharos will provide a trusted dollar-denominated asset that can be used for RWAs, trading, lending, payments, and other onchain activity. USDC on Pharos offers user benefits such as:

  • A regulated,1 fully reserved stablecoin redeemable 1:1 for US dollars2
  • Enables institutional fiat on/offramps for eligible Circle Mint3 users
  • Integrates easily into Pharos apps and infrastructure

‍Meanwhile, CCTP on Pharos is intended to make moving USDC across supported blockchains easier by removing the need to rely on bridged assets. CCTP enables developers to:

  • Efficiently and securely move USDC between Pharos and other supported blockchains
  • Build apps that support a seamless experience for RWAs, crosschain transfers, trading, payments, and other financial applications

Key use cases for USDC on Pharos

USDC on Pharos is intended to function as the primary payment and settlement asset across the expanding Pharos ecosystem. USDC will power DeFi trading and lending activity with its institutional-grade liquidity and full-reserve backing. This will support the trading of tokenized treasuries, private credit, commodities, and other RWAs — a focus of the Pharos blockchain.

In addition, the USDC integration will support instant stablecoin payments and programmable payment flows. This works synergistically with Pharos’ trading and RWA applications to enable smooth transaction settlement with institutional-grade capital availability and liquidity.

Popular Pharos apps include: AquaFlux, Asseto, Bitverse, Centrifuge, Ember, Faroo, FaroSwap, and TermMax.

Crosschain USDC applications are expanded via CCTP on Pharos, which lets users move USDC between blockchains quickly, securely, and cost-effectively. Pharos becomes the 33rd blockchain with native support for USDC and the 22nd supported by CCTP, expanding payment options to over 450 unique crosschain routes. This supports multichain app development while preserving the strong unified liquidity of USDC.

In addition, the Native-to-Pharos Incubation Program will support developers and early-stage teams building on Pharos. USDC will serve as the network’s core stablecoin, powering settlement, collateral, payments, and more. Backed by a $10 million commitment, the program is designed to accelerate ecosystem growth by expanding participating projects’ access to USDC and CCTP on Pharos.
