Circle Gateway: New Pre-Mint Address for EURC on Solana

what you’ll learn

Circle has deployed an EURC on Solana pre-mint address to support Gateway’s expansion. Learn about pre-minting and why it’s used on certain blockchains.

Discover why Circle has deployed a pre-mint address for EURC on Solana to enable Gateway support for EURC on Solana.

Circle Gateway: New Pre-Mint Address for EURC on Solana

With the launch of Gateway support for EURC on Solana, Circle has deployed a new pre-mint address to enable Gateway to programmatically mint EURC on Solana. The new address is: A6sLLUWebvoUUnQoCiB45ktetd34iamfD8kwTsBSReAb

The full list of pre-mint addresses is contained within our GitHub repo. For exchanges, websites, and developers that monitor EURC flows on Solana, you can continue to use our public API as normal — no changes are required.

NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SEND EURC TO A PRE-MINT ADDRESS AS IT WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF FUNDS. PRE-MINT ADDRESSES ARE ONLY INTENDED FOR USE BY CIRCLE.

EURC on Solana: Pre-minting details

On some non-EVM blockchains like Solana, Circle pre-mints tokens like EURC to create and hold a balance before it goes into circulation. This is made possible by the aforementioned pre-mint address. It holds EURC that is not considered part of the circulating supply until Circle officially authorizes its mint and public release.

How it works:

  1. Pre-mint addresses have an existing balance of EURC, or another token, which is not included in the total amount in circulation.
  2. With Gateway now supporting EURC on Solana, a user can mint EURC on Solana.
  3. The EURC is then sent from the pre-mint address to the user's wallet address, increasing EURC in circulation.

This follows the pre-mint of USDC on Solana, allowing Gateway users to seamlessly mint Circle’s dollar- and euro-denominated stablecoins on Solana.
