Circle is Discontinuing Support for USDC and CCTP V1 on Noble

what you’ll learn

Circle details next steps for USDC and CCTP V1 users on Noble.

Circle is Discontinuing Support for USDC and CCTP V1 on Noble

Circle is discontinuing support for USDC and CCTP V1 (the legacy version) on the Noble blockchain as part of its broader transition to CCTP V2, Circle’s next-generation cross-chain protocol with faster finality and stronger security. Noble will not receive CCTP V2.

Circle Mint customers, retail USDC holders, and non-Circle customers who hold USDC on Noble should migrate to another supported blockchain.

New minting of USDC on Noble through Circle Mint will be disabled on October 13, 2026. Redemptions from Noble via Circle Mint remain available until January 12, 2027, when the Noble USDC contract and CCTP routes will be fully paused.

On the pause date, Circle will take a snapshot of all remaining USDC on Noble balances and open a manual redemption portal. The manual redemption process begins January 13, 2027.

Actions Required

Circle Mint Customers

  • From September 10, 2026 through October 12, 2026: No change to your Circle Mint access for Noble. Your existing withdrawals, express routes, and redemptions on Noble continue as normal.
  • From October 13, 2026 through January 12, 2027: New minting of USDC to Noble via Circle Mint is disabled. Redemptions from Noble via Circle Mint remain available, though CCTP V1 burn limits will gradually reduce to zero beginning October 31, 2026.
  • Starting January 13, 2027: Noble is no longer accessible via Circle Mint or CCTP. Contact your Partner Manager or the Customer Care team to initiate the manual redemption process.

Institutional and Self-Custody USDC Holders

From October 13, 2026 through January 12, 2027, USDC remains transferable on Noble. Holders should move their USDC off Noble before the January 12 pause through:

  • A CEX that supports Noble USDC deposits.
  • A DEX swap on Noble.
  • CCTP V1 burn-from-Noble to another supported chain

CCTP V1 burn limits will begin reducing on October 31, 2026. After December 1, 2026, CCTP exits may be limited to destination chains that continue to support CCTP V1 burns. See the list of supported chains here

Circle will publish a shortlist of known exit venues. Circle is not operating its own exit UI.

CCTP Integrators

If your application has integrated CCTP V1 support for Noble, you should plan to remove Noble as a supported CCTP V1 route before January 12, 2027. After that date, all CCTP V1 routes to and from Noble will be fully paused and any integrations relying on those routes will stop functioning.

Refer to Circle's developer documentation and CCTP domain status pages for technical guidance. Questions can be directed to your Circle contact or to developer support.

Post Deadline

Details on the manual redemption process will be available via Circle's Help Center starting January 13, 2027. To qualify for manual redemption, USDC on Noble holders must: meet Circle's compliance and security requirements; have USDC in a holder-controlled wallet; and have a wallet address that is part of the Noble pause-day snapshot. Please refer to this blog and the Help Center to avoid any potential scams.

Looking Forward

Circle's presence in the Cosmos ecosystem continues. Injective and other IBC-connected chains remain active Circle partnerships, and USDC continues to serve as a settlement asset across Cosmos DeFi broadly. CCTP expansion is ongoing across EVM and non-EVM chains, and Circle remains committed to growing USDC's reach as the most trusted, most interoperable digital dollar in the world.
