FAQs

Credits are monetary discounts of a predetermined value that can be applied to your account billing to cover fees for Circle Wallets fees (including Gas Station) and, Circle Contracts.

Any of Circle’s Web3 Services offerings, including:

  • Circle Wallets (including Gas Station)
  • Circle Contracts

*Please note that Credits cannot be applied to Circle CCTP (e.g. CCTP V2: Fast Transfer fees).

There are two main ways for developers to get Circle credits:

  1. On this page, you can apply for credits. Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you if we have any questions. We will email you once we have a decision, which might take up to two weeks.
  2. Additionally, credits may be administered by Circle team members at events such as hackathons and workshops, via social media or by direct outreach, based on observed product activity.

After upgrading to mainnet, developers can redeem a credit code* and view the remaining credits by navigating to ADMIN SETTINGS > Payment Options. Credits are automatically used to pay new Web3 Services bills; if there is an insufficient balance, the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on the account.

* Please note that credits can only be redeemed when you upgrade to mainnet. If you receive a credit code before upgrading, you are responsible for storing and redeeming it once you’ve upgraded.

No, a developer must accept Circle’s terms and conditions which specify that credits are not to be resold, licensed, or exchanged.

Developers may redeem one credit code at a time and must consume the current credit balance before redeeming additional credits.

Yes, credits expire if you do not redeem your code within six months of issuance.
