Circle requires thorough background checks (including ID verification, KYC checks, and sanctions screening) and the processing time can vary from one day to a week or more in some cases. To make the application process more efficient, please have the the proper documentation prepared beforehand.
Circle Mint is offered to registered distributors in specific regions who will mint and distribute USDC at scale. This product is not offered to retail consumers or those minting USDC for personal use.

- Instant settlement is possible, provided, however, that instant settlement programs are offered by the participating bank(s).
- Stablecoins are available to mint and redeem via wire transfer; SEPA and banking network transfers are limited to participating banks in limited regions.
- Assets held through U.S. based Circle LLC are under the supervision of the OCC through Circle National Trust. Assets held through other Circle entities (SAS, MEA, and Singapore) have similar levels of protection under their local jurisdictions.
- Circle National Trust provides fiduciary digital asset custody. It does not issue USDC, and is not a deposit-taking bank. Assets held at Circle National Trust are not FDIC-insured. Circle National Trust is the trade name of First National Digital Currency Bank, N.A., a national trust bank chartered and regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), providing custody of digital assets. Digital assets are not deposits, are not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and may be subject to investment and other risks. Circle National Trust does not accept deposits or make loans.
- Digital Asset-Backed Borrowing is provided by Circle Technology Services, LLC through a customer-controlled Smart Wallet and is available to eligible Circle Mint (Circle Internet Financial, LLC) customers only, subject to jurisdiction and eligibility.
