Native USDC Now Available on Noble

USDC Multi-Chain Company Stablecoins

USDC on Noble is now available for developers and users of the Cosmos ecosystem! Circle Account and Circle APIs make it easy to access USDC on Noble and securely transfer to appchains in Cosmos via the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol.

About Noble and the Cosmos ecosystem

Cosmos is a decentralized network of independent blockchains called appchains. There are dozens of appchains in the Cosmos ecosystem which are securely connected by IBC.

Noble is an appchain purpose-built for native asset issuance in Cosmos.1  Noble is part of the IBC network which gives Cosmos appchains the ability to communicate and exchange assets like USDC directly with each other. Developers and users can now transfer USDC from Noble to appchains via IBC to send, spend, save, borrow, lend, and trade with digital dollars.2

USDC on Noble can be considered the official form of USDC for the Cosmos ecosystem, providing access via IBC to a fully reserved, dollar-backed stablecoin that’s always redeemable 1:1 for US dollars.

Powering new use cases

Exchanges, digital wallets, institutional traders, and developers can access USDC on Noble via the Circle Account and Circle APIs and send to Cosmos appchains via IBC.2

2 Please note that Circle Account and Circle APIs only support USDC on Noble from the Cosmos ecosystem. This means you must transfer USDC from your Circle Account to an external Noble wallet address prior to using IBC. Additionally, if you transfer USDC from Noble to other appchains via IBC, you must transfer back to Noble via IBC prior to depositing into your Circle Account. Please do not attempt to deposit IBC-transferred USDC from an appchain other than Noble to your Circle Account, as it may not be recoverable and could result in a loss of funds.
