One of the most exciting dimensions of the
rise of global stablecoins is the opportunity that is being created for unbanked populations around the world. Today more than 1.7 billion adults don't have access to bank accounts. At the same time, 2/3 of these individuals have mobile devices. At this intersection, a new generation of financial services are coming on to the scene, built on public blockchains and stablecoins, with the hope of ushering in a more open, accessible and equitable economic system for all.
